Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a learning curve to the application?
As with any professional application, there is a learning curve. The application is simple but ensuring that the nail is properly and thoroughly prepared may require a few attempts to perfect. It is recommended that you practice on a model prior to applying to a customer.

How do I remove Forever Natural?
Forever Natural can be easily and quickly removed by soaking in acetone for five minutes and then simply wiping off. Picking, pulling or peeling the product can result in damage to the nail plate.

Can I do a polish change between manicures without ruining the Forever Natural application?
Yes, remove the polish with non-acetone polish remover. Do not allow the remover to sit on the nails for an extended period of time. Once the polish is removed, the Forever Natural Polytech will remain shiny and can be repolished or left natural.

Will Forever Natural damage the natural nails?
Forever Natural is an Acid-Free, Gas Permeable treatment that bonds to the natural nail. If it is properly applied and properly removed it will not cause any more damage to the natural nail than wearing polish.

Will the natural nail need maintenance?
Between manicures ensure that the natural nails are cared for. Forever Natural will add strength and flexibility to the natural nail but the natural nail will still need to be treated with a good cuticle and nail oil to eliminate the chance of nail peeling. As the natural nail grows out, there will be a very slight line of demarcation, similar to that of polish. It is not necessary to completely remove the product and reapply. Perform a regular manicure ensuring that the pterygium is thoroughly removed and the cuticle is pushed back. Gently buff the exposed natural nail to remove any shine as well as the entire top of the Forever Natural Nail to remove the high gloss shine. It is essential that all the shine is removed to ensure proper adhesion.

Do I need to cap the nails or apply tips?
Polytech is not a gel so it will not shrink away from the natural nail free edge. It should be applied from the free edge to cuticle, similar to a thick base coat application. Additionally once the   product is on correctly it is acceptable to file and shape the natural nail during a manicure.

Can I apply more than one coat of Forever Natural Polytech?
YES, for customers with very thin natural nails who require extra strength, applying an additional layer is recommended.    Generally two thin layers are better than one thick layer. Do not remove the sticky layer between applications, when applying two layers. Simply apply and cure the first layer, remove from the light and immediately apply another thin layer. Cure again and then spray with Finish and wipe with a lint free cloth.

I just removed artificial nails and the natural nail is very tender and thin; can Forever Natural be applied over the natural nail?
Yes, this is an excellent application for Forever Natural. However, keep in mind that the natural nail is already in a fragile state. The customer may need to be scheduled for more frequent visits for the first few months to ensure success.
